some train to play soccer, others train to become soccer players
There is a difference. Soccer players dedicate themselves to a lifestyle and commit themselves both on and off the field to furthering their development. If this is you, SJSS is your training service provider in South Jersey.
Located in South Jersey minutes from Philadelphia, South Jersey Soccer Services specializes in private small group and individualized youth soccer training. We have recognized the benefits of the small sided training model adopted by other countries and have emulated it within our training structure. Sessions focus on improving technical abilities within the context of making sound tactical decisions in scenarios such as 1v1, 2v1, 2v2, 3v2, 3v3, and 4v2.
According to the United States Soccer Federation's Publication The Progression from 4v4 to 11v11, "It is important to remember that the 11v11 game is merely a collection of 1v1s, 2v1s, 3v3s, or 4v3s etc. over a large area. The connecting together of those groups through the length and breadth of the field is paramount to success."
This view by the USSF is in line with our philosophy and training model. We strive to develop players who recognize these situations and are prepared technically and tactically to solve the problems the game presents using soccer skills and a collective tactical understanding of the game.
